It’s hard to believe we’re in December and the holidays are just around the corner. Many talk about the busy season ahead but I’m hoping for a bit of down-time after the hectic pace of November.

Ali Brown’s SHINE event in Las Vegas was spectacular (it opened with an act from Cirque du Soleil) and it was great to hang out with the other Millionaire Protégé Club members.

Then we worked our first National Franchise Tradeshow in Ottawa…and that was so much fun we’re doing it again in Toronto at the Metro Convention Centre, January 9 & 10. Congratulations to Caroline Kuate, our Ottawa draw prize winner, who received a fabulous gift basket from Better Than Flowers.

And following these two big events, Nancy Kirwin and I hosted our 3rd annual Wine, Women & Shopping event, with nearly 500 attendees to help support My Sisters’ Place. We don’t have a final tally yet but it looks like we’ll exceed our previous contributions. We’ll have photos of our event posted to www.winewomenandshopping.com within the next week so be sure to check it out.

So, I’m looking forward to time at home with family and friends over the next few weeks. Maybe just kick back and relax...after I get the shopping and baking done!

Take time to enjoy the upcoming holiday season. Remember, it only comes around once a year, so make the most of it.
