I belong to a structured mastermind group that includes amazing movers and shakers in various industries across North American (I’m the only Canadian and we have one person from Finland) so the ideas and insights are plentiful.  At the end of our call last week, we were challenged to come up with one word that we want people to think of when they think of us.  Now that is a true challenge in my mind.

What one word do you want people to think of when they think of you?

The answer comes down to your personal brand.

I wasn’t sure where to begin…so I thought I’d start by finding out what others thought of me – in one word.  So, I asked a few friends, clients, family members and colleagues for their one word.  The answers were uplifting to be sure.  Words such as dynamic, honourable, inspiring, expert, knowledgeable, astounding (from my daughter), connected, networking, confident were great to read.  My husband said I was “fantabulous” (yes, he made that word up and I love it).  But I’m still not sure of my word…I’ll have to work on that a while longer.  If you have a word you’d like to share – the word that comes to mind when you think of me – please send it along.

And here’s my challenge to you:  What one word do you want people to think of when they think of you?  Start by asking people you know what they think of you.  Their answers will not only give you insight to how you are being perceived, they will brighten your day.
