Happy Birthday Canada!

It’s great to be noticed! And this is just what happened with Networking Today this past month. But of course, being noticed can bring with it a mixed bag of emotions.

It all started with a telephone call from the research department of the Inside Business television show hosted by Fred Thompson and seen on CNN, Fine Living TV Network, and 48 regional stations across North America. They were looking at Networking Today to be profiled in a five minute segment related to “Unique Affordable New Franchise Concepts & Opportunities.” What a privilege and honour…I was thrilled just by the fact they found us.

After escalating interviews with the Associate Producer and then the Senior Producer, I declined the offer. (I’m sure you can almost feel the emotions that were swirling around inside me at that moment.) You see, the Inside Business show is a business model – so that meant there was a cost involved. I did a lot of hard thinking and of course my due diligence in checking them out. They are definitely legit but the cost associated and the gain I would receive, didn’t work out in my favour at this time.

But the point still stands…they found us and recognized what we are doing. What an amazing feeling that is!
